REBECCA ANNE BLOOM | A CREATIVE
HELLO AND THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!
Professionally, I go by Rebecca Anne Bloom, but most people call me Bec.
I have always been a creative at heart - dabbling in photography, painting and performing for as long as I can remember. I spent most of my twenties acting and directing, while also working in various creative fields like marketing and floral design. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I was laid off from my job and figured this would possibly be the only time for me to open a small business. So I picked up my camera and never looked back. Since then, I've become the General Manager of Globus Theatre at the LAB in Bobcaygeon, as well as a photographer who specializes in intimate weddings, headshots, promo shots for small businesses and of course family photos.
If you’re wondering about my ‘style’ of photography, I hope my pictures speak for themselves. The choices I make when shooting and editing have changed so much since I started and my style morphs depending on the client. There are still elements I strive for in every image, like a focus on textures and details, or shots that depict the energy and emotion in the moment. But I also take into account what the client is looking for - their input is very important to my process. I would say my style is bold and moody. Organic, earthy, focused on textures, shadows and highlights but also emphasizing colours or elements that should pop.
It's common for people to want to brand themselves as something in particular. But as a photographer, artist, actor, and writer, I simply strive to find a way to use creative mediums to capture the magical and candid moments of life and humanity. If you have an idea, please send me a message. Let’s talk about how to make your vision come alive!
